SWTX PCA/ACA Organizational Awards |
Audio/Visual Support Page
We urge everyone to bring their iPads, latops, netbooks, or favorite digital device etc., to the conference as there will be no printed conference program. The organization has moved to a digital interface and conference USB drives will be provided during registration in place of the traditional printed program. The PDF version of the program has been posted for download and printing (if required) in advance of the conference. The following AV equipment will be standard in each presentation room (except for special conference events).
1. Presentation rooms will be equipped with the following: LCD data projector; speakers, and projection screen.
DVD Players will be available in limited quantities as these units like the VCR are being phased out of PSAV's equipment inventory. 2. The PCA/ACA & SWTX PCA/ACA conference organizers strongly encourage each presenter using digital media to bring their laptops (either PC or Mac) or favorite digital devices such as an I-PAD or Android tablet. If you are using a MAC I-Book (or MAC Air) make sure you bring the special adapter so it will connect to the LCD projector this applies as well to I-Pad (second or third generation). We encourage you to consult with your college/university media department to verify which adapter to bring with your digital tablet or by visiting Apple.com 3. If your presentation requires AV equipment/support outside of #1 you will be required to contract with our conference AV provider and will be liable for all labor/equipment costs. 4. Please Note: most VHS tapes, slide presentations, and other video formats can be transferred to DVD, either for a fee or, sometimes, through your college/universities AV/IT departments. You may want to consider this option if warranted. Instructions for connecting your iPad (second or third generation) and your PC or Mac laptop to PSAV's AV equipment:
