Conference Program

  • Read the policies about attendance, cancellation, and A-V equipment here.

Attendance: Please plan to attend the entire conference. Due to the number of panels and participants, we are unable to accommodate individual scheduling requests.  Panels will run at the following approximate times: 8:00 a.m.-8:30 p.m. Tues-Friday, 8:30-3:30 p.m. Saturday. Special events will include a reception and a luncheon with a keynote speaker. Participants who plan to attend the luncheon should check ”luncheon“ when registering.

Audio-visual equipment: The following AV equipment will be standard for all presenter rooms at the 2009 SW/TX Annual Conference: LCD Projector, DVD/VCR Combo, Set of speakers, and Presentation Screen (Laptops are NOT provided). This is a significant investment for the organization in 2009, and we hope that our presenters and guests are pleased with this new arrangement of audio visual equipment.

The SW/TX PCA/ACA is laptop friendly. We highly encourage you to bring your computer laptop to the conference as we provide WiFi access and Phil’s Cyber Café for you to enjoy checking email, web surfing, or making last minute corrections to your conference paper.

Note: There will be no placement of TVs or old-style overhead projectors in the presenter rooms. If a presenter needs this equipment, the presenter must contract separately and pay equipment charges (SW/TX will not assume any liability for equipment outside our stated contract) with the Hyatt's AV Company, Presentation Services.
